Kind words do not cost much. They never blister the tongue or lips. They make other people good-natured. They also produce their own image on men’s souls, and a beautiful image it is. — Blaise Pascal

He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, O God of my Fathers; you have given me power, you have made known to me what we asked of you....Daniel 2:21b-23a

There have been countless times I've asked God to shine His light on a situation in my children's life as they were growing up. He has never failed to answer.  It's been amazing.  We have the privilege to come boldly to His throne room to receive mercy and grace in our time of need.  He gave it freely with wisdom we needed  and the light to walk in the dark areas.

Sometimes what the light exposed wasn't a pleasant thing.  Just as what the light exposes in the dark areas of my heart is not pleasant.  But when we prayed and honestly confronted it the way God told us to, there was godly sorrow and repentance on the kids part and often by us.  That's what we as parent's want and that's what our father God wants.

Lord shine your light on my heart and show me anything hidden in darkness that is not pleasing to you.   Your word says you oppose the proud but give grace to the humble.  I humble myself to you O Lord. For you alone are worthy!  Thank you for what you are doing in my heart and my life.  Each and every day is new and exciting!

Amen-So Be It!
