What’s in our heart will come out when we are under pressure. You get hit by a train, and what’s in you comes out. If we want love to come out, God’s kind of love, we must sit before Him letting Him pour His love into our hearts. Hearing His voice telling us how much He loves us give us the strength to go forth and love people in His Name. We represent Him. Then we serve God and people in His strength.
We walk in God’s kind of love by sitting quietly before Him; by letting Him saturate us with His love; and by purposing in our hearts to focus on Him. I have to let the Lord talk to me, and fill me up so I can overflow to others. It’s a decision I make on a daily basis. The only way the cycle can keep going or be fruitful is for me to abide in the vine. Then His love flows through me to others. The closer I get to Jesus, the more I become like Him. The more I become like Him, the more people are drawn to me and ask what is it about you that is different? Then we can tell them about the hope that is in us, Jesus, the hope of glory!
Is 30:15 Msg says, ” God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel: “Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me-
John 17:3 Msg says, “And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God, And Jesus Christ, whom you sent.
Psalm 119:114 MSG says, “You are my place of quiet retreat; I wait for Your Word to renew me.”
These verses are so very powerful. As we recognize that He is our salvation and we stop from our “silly self-efforts”. We get caught up in trying to do things our way, in our own strength. We then have to turn back to our Father God. Our salvation, our deliverance requires that we turn back to HIM. (Isaiah 30:15)
We must know Him. Having a deep, personal, and intimate relationship with our heavenly Father. That takes spending time with Him. Resting, studying, praying, and worshipping Him daily. (John 17:3) And then my favorite verse Psalm 119:114 Msg version…You are my quiet retreat, I wait for your Word to renew me. I go to Him to refresh me. I rest in Him. He fills me up with His love, peace, joy, patience. All the fruit of the spirit He grows it in my character as I wait in His presence. He fills me with His Love. Agape. The God kind of love that covers a multitude of sin.
Joyce Meyer says, “If you’re going to walk in love you’re going to have to do it on purpose.” There ya go. I purpose to get in the presence of Divine Love to start the cycle.

"Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be arrogant, but be friendly to humble people. Don’t think that you are smarter than you really are." Romans 12:16 GWT
The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about the following: being a servant, humbling yourself, loving people, loving God, and serving both. This is what we are called to do. This is what Christ did. This is what the local church body I belong to does.
One of my favorite verses is Micah 6:8 the Amplified version says, "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?" My wise husband recently told me what he does during some conversations that lead to a fruitless ending. He doesn't join in them. He sets his mind on the Lord and not on the things of this world. Oh, that I become more like my husband. I would spend less time repenting of the words of my mouth.
Unselfishness is the word that comes to mind when I think of a servant. It describes Christ and my husband. To be humble we must be unselfish and not focused on self. My opinion doesn't matter. The wisdom of this world matters even less than what the news reports in the papers and the television are saying. The only wisdom we need is from above (and He lives in us), and it is given to us when we ask for it without wavering according to James1:5.
I thank God that all my sins have already been forgiven over 2,000 years ago when Christ died on the Cross for me. I can ask and receive forgiveness quickly from my brother and sisters in the Lord, and start each day fresh with my Lord. I believe that the Lord wants me to get over this hurdle of falling into the snare of the enemy. He sets this same trap for all Christians. It's pride of life. What do you think about such and such? The answer should always go back to: who cares what I think? What does God think? What does the Bible say about it? Seek God's wisdom. There's your answer for everything.
Ending with the Message Version of Micah 6:8
But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously-take God seriously.

"And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you." Phil 1:6 Amp
We go from faith to faith, power to power, glory to glory, trial to trial, and one measure of grace to another measure of grace. He only is the author and finisher of my faith. This is so reassuring to me as I'm going through life's journey. He lives in and through me now that I've accept Him as Lord. He is my hope of glory in life.
In Colossians 2:6 there's a warning about diminishing the power of what Christ Jesus did on the Cross for us. Satan would love us to dilute that by listening to human reasoning, traditions of men, philosophy, and getting back into the law. The law is about self effort. The Cross is about grace. It takes "you" out of the equation. We are saved by grace. Everything that we receive from Christ is by grace. We don't "earn" it. It is a free gift. I believe I receive, thank you, Jesus!
Colossians 2:6-10 GNT 6) Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with Him. 7) Keep your roots deep in Him, build your lives on Him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. 8 ) See to it, then, that no one enslaves you by means of the worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe, and not from Christ. 9) For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in His humanity, 10) and you have been given full life in union with Him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority.
He lives in me and He is supreme over everything. Therefore, I should only be listening to His voice; not the voice of the world; not the voice of the politicians; and not the voice of the devil and his lies!
Be encouraged in the Lord! Christ in you the hope of glory in this world!

We must not only do that which is good, but we must cleave to it. All our duty towards one another is summed up in one word, love. ~Matthew Henry
I have been resting up from a thirty day intense stay with my in-laws. They have had to make a big move and under go a massive change of life-style. It was a month of 24-7 and training people to take care of my father-in-law who is bed-ridden. I came home physically and emotionally exhausted. I don't know how people without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit handle these kind of things, because it was touch and go towards the end.
When I let my Pastor know what was happening before leaving, he said something to me that really ministered to me throughout the time I was there. "Serve them well." That really kept me going. We are supposed to honor one another and respect one another. It wasn't hard for me to respect my father-in-law and mother-in-law. I love them dearly! There were other people that were involved in their care, however. This is where God's grace and your faith have to come in. I failed at times and had to ask for forgiveness. Thank you, Father God, that Your mercy and loving kindness is new every morning!
Colossians 3:12-13a, “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another…” (ESV)
This is the definition of love. I could only walk in God's kind of love when I submitted myself to the Lord, resisted the flesh, and the enemy. It was a test of endurance by the end of the month; I felt alone and without any help. I had to continually remind myself of this: the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Standby. I was NOT alone! He is my strength!
It is good to be home and to be fed spiritually. I do believe I "served them well". I made mistakes, and was forgiven. I did my best, and God knows my weaknesses. He is showing me them as I walk this walk of faith. He expects me to correct them, and not continue making them. I reckon the old man dead, and the new man is taking ascendancy as He shines His light in the darkness on a daily basis.

Being In Position For God To Bless Us.........
“We need to learn to enjoy where we are while we are on our way to where we are going.” ~Joyce Meyer~ How do we do that? Pastor Jeff’s sermon series “Patience with God” has caused me to start praying about that very thing. Here’s what I’ve come up with. In my humble opinion…
I Peter 5:6 Amp “Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,”
A humble person will not display an impatient attitude with their circumstances. A prideful person thinks so highly of himself; he can’t be inconvenienced, therefore, can’t wait patiently. This often comes with maturity. We learn to humble ourselves as we grow up spiritually and in years. Patience is a fruit of the spirit. We can draw on that fruit instead of the deeds of the flesh like the devil wants us to.
The phrase “lower yourselves in your own estimation” doesn’t mean to think badly of yourselves. It simply means “don’t think you can solve all your problems on your own.” Instead of pridefully taking matters into our own hands, we need to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand trusting Him to know when the time is right. Only God has the answer to our circumstances.
Colossians 3:12 Amp “Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper].”
This verse tells me how I am to behave in all kinds of situations. This is the perfect definition of patience; which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper. It is also humility. The complete opposite of being prideful. This is a high standard and who hasn’t fallen short of it? Thank you, Father God, that we can come to you and receive forgiveness through your Son. We can repent and start over. Each day is a new start. Hallelujah!
Pastor Jeff said we may not like our circumstances in life right now. It’s not where we planned it to be. It is at these moments in time we need to pause and be conscious of what it is that God is trying to work in us through these circumstances. He didn’t put it on us. We should always remind ourselves that most of our problems are from choices we made. We thought we were smart enough to do things without asking Him for guidance.
“God created us to be worshipers, but sin draws us into everything else but worship.” ~AW Tozer~ Our authority in Christ comes out of our relationship with God. A close intimate personal relationship with Him. That is what He is waiting on. He wants us to walk hand in hand with Him daily. He wants us to be so attuned to Him that the things of the world no longer have an attraction for us. That’s when God moves on our behalf, and if it’s not quick? Being in His presence is so awesome that takes away the frustration!
Hope you all have a wonderful season of celebrating the birth of the One who made our walk with God possible.
God Bless!!
