Kind words do not cost much. They never blister the tongue or lips. They make other people good-natured. They also produce their own image on men’s souls, and a beautiful image it is. — Blaise Pascal

Reminders From God Strength For the Journey: Day Reminders From God Day 236 "Know this. From the moment you placed all in My Hands and sought no other aid, I have taken the quickest way possible to work out your salvation."

Today I went to the oncologist.  In a previous post I indicated that the biopsy of the tumor removed in February of this year was returned with a bad report.   It was a very mixed report from two labs. They did get a second opinion and were very thorough.  The specialist explained it to JT and I today.  She gave me her book, "100 Questions & Answers About Brain Tumors".   It looks very well written, and she does have faith in God!

Praise report is that they did get all of the tumor which we knew already. She confirmed I don't have to do radiation or Chemo-therapy!  However, she does want me to get the MRI scan in three months instead of six months and recommends this for at least a year after the completion of surgery.  She also wants me to get a complete spinal column scan: (brain) cervical, upper, and lower spine.  She said that the meneges doesn't just cover the brain it also covers the spine and she wants a "base" MRI of the spine to make sure there are no tumors anywhere else.  Evidently these tumors can be very aggressive and numerous throughout the body.

I don't agree with this report happening in my body.  In the Name of Jesus, I walk totally free of tumors of any kind!  However,  I will submit to the scan so there will be that "base" for the doctor to have for her records.  Their office will set the time up at Presbyterian Hospital the end of October then we made an appointment  at her office the first week of November.  J.T. and I both really liked her.  Very intelligent and has lots of answers to your questions.

Before leaving her office I not only had her book, but another book "Curveball, When Life Throws you a Brain Tumor" by Liz Holzemer.  This lady is married to Mark Holzemer a major league baseball pitcher.  She had a meningioma, too. Plus, seizures and issues getting pregnant. She had two brain surgeries.  This is her story and it will be interesting to read.  The tumor was as big as a baseball!  I will be looking into this support group of hers online:  Meniningioma Mommas.  Interesting name!     Have a blessed day...
